The week leading up to Easter will be full of opportunities to honor Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate His resurrection. On Thursday, March 29, we will have our Maundy Thursday service at 7:00 p.m. It will be a time of quiet worship and reflection as we sing, read Scripture and observe the Lord’s Supper.

On Good Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Nova will host an event called “Reflections on The Cross.” It will be a time for quiet prayer and individual reflection on Christ’s suffering and sacrifice. Childcare will be provided.

On Sunday, April 1 at 10:30 a.m., we will worship the risen Christ with a joyful Easter service of great music and a powerful message of hope. Afterword, we will enjoy a potluck lunch together on the plaza. Last names A-P, bring a main dish; Q-Z, bring a salad to share. Dessert will be provided.

We are collecting wrapped candy for our Easter children’s activities on April 1. If you would like to donate candy please visit the table on the plaza or contact Shureen Paredes (562-618-7841).

The prayer team is available after the worship service in the Fireside Room. You may also request prayer through email at Prayer@NovaChurch.org.

Nova’s Laundry Love team goes to a local laundromat from 2:45-5:00 monthly on the fourth Saturday and provides free laundry services to underserved people in our community. For information contact Jaime Mancilla (jaimemancilla@ymail.com).
