How Great Is Our God

Here is The Heart of Worship by a trio from Nova who ministers through music to a local health and rehabilitation center.

Take some time to think about and discuss these questions with your small group, family, or friends.

  • What is your place in your family’s birth order?

  • How would you describe your relationship with your siblings?

Digging Deeper

   Read Mark 3:20-21; 6:4.

  • What did Jesus’ family think about Jesus and why?  Why was it hard for people who knew Jesus to believe in him?

   Read James 1:1-8.

  • How do trials, troubles and suffering make you aware of your need for God?

  • What does James say will happen when we ask for wisdom yet doubt that God will give it to us (v. 6)?

  • When have you experienced receiving wisdom that you asked for?  What did you learn?

  • About what in your life do you need to ask for wisdom today?

During these times when "normal" life seems to be flipped upside-down, many of us are feeling frustration in various areas of our lives. Let us take a moment to pray for ourselves and others who may be feeling bogged down by frustration.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:5-8 (NIV)

Let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quitGalatians 6:9 (The Message)

Let us pray for those who are feeling frustrated about:

  • Work
  • School
  • Inter-personal relationships
  • Not seeing family and friends
  • Not being able to go out
  • Ever-changing regulations
  • Any other areas you can think of
