Read James 1:19-21.

1. What effect does being quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry have on your relationship with God? With those you love? With others you come in contact with?
   
   
2. If “everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry (v. 19),” in what situations do you find one (or more) of these commands especially difficult?
   
   
3. How would you personally live out the “righteousness that God desires…and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you?”

Prayer

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

     Hebrews 10:24-25
